Each year, state governments hand down budgets covering billions of dollars in spending across health, education, infrastructure, housing, transport and social services — and State Budget cuts through the complexity to deliver clear, plain-language summaries of what each budget means in practice.
The platform covers budgets across all Australian states and territories, providing spending breakdowns, key announcements, revenue sources, and analysis of how budget decisions affect households, businesses and communities. Built as a companion to the Federal Budget platform, State Budget completes the picture of public finance across all levels of Australian government.
